If a microwave synthesis platform is to address the needs of medicinal chemists, it must take into account their position in the overall timeline of drug discovery. Our Med Chem accessories were developed in close cooperation with more than 300 users from the pharmaceutical industry and academia. They told us that scalability is essential— so we have provided the ability to take a compound smoothly from small-scale exploratory synthesis to the rapid and reliable creation of larger quantities.
Milestone uniquely provides a single platform, the MicroSYNTH Labstation, that can handle the entire spectrum of a medicinal chemist's needs. You can perform reactions from 2 mL to 1.2 liters, one at a time or in parallel, without a gap in the range of volumes, or in reproducibility or purity of yield. At the same time, you will benefit from unsurpassed increase in yield—another benefit of the MicroSynth's multimode design.
This scalability is achieved with unparalleled ease. We realize that our users are expert chemists, not microwave technicians. Method development is controlled by intuitive, user-friendly software, and stored methods can be reproduced automatically. Our technology does its work unobtrusively, and that transparent ease of use leaves you free to focus on the development of new compounds, or to refine the methods for generation of familiar products.

The miniature camera and display system integrates directly to the cavity wall of your Milestone Microwave Labstation and provides a live video feed presentation of your reaction chemistry from within the cavity. Observe the progress of your chemical reactions inside the microwave cavity just as easily as you keep an eye on your standard reflux reactions on the bench.
The miniature camera system lets you look inside the microwave cavity without opening the cavity door: Monitor stirring action and changes in viscosity, observe gross color changes, ensure vessel integrity, etc.—all without interupting the progress of the microwave process.
