Milestone START system

  • Advanced microwave technology
  • Stainless steel, durable multi-mode system design
  • Intuitive user interface for controlled monitoring
  • Inherent vent-and-reseal safety
  • Parallel and scale-up capability (open and closed vessels)
  • Teaching rotor for undergraduate organic chemistry labs

altMilestone Teaching Rotor
  • Up to 32 (25 mL) glass reaction vessels in single experimental run
  • Rotor body with shield for maximum safety
  • Vessels designed for performance up to 200°C and 15 bar of pressure for wide range  of  chemistries
  • Vent-and-reseal vessel technology for safe performance under pressure

NP Glassware Kit

altAdditional options

  • Teaching rotor allows flexibility of using fiber optic temperature monitoring
  • Atmospheric pressure open round-bottom glassware (50mL to 4L): standard glass kit includes 500mL flask, adapter tube, and reflux condenser with teflon base for holding glassware.

The normal pressure NP reactors allow chemists to perform synthetic reactions under reflux.

Ordinary laboratory glassware can also be used in the Start platform. In this way, any chemical reaction currently performed with a hot plate, heating mantle or oil bath, can be immediately transferred to the microwave.
