Mercury Trap

The mercury trap is a simple, yet effective, accessory for the DMA-80. It consists of a glass tube filled with an activated coal/charcoal mix. The porous carbon absorbs a number of pollutants including mercury, chlorine and other gases produced during the decomposition of the sample. The trap also insures the laboratory environment is protected and eliminates (the need for use and disposal) of neutralizating salts further saving the laboratory money.
