Overview Routine High Throughput High Temperature Evaporation

Evaporation Rotors

Evaporation Rotor The MMR (Modular Microwave Rotor) is patented, third-generation technology for conveniently heating materials in a microwave field under controlled vacuum conditions. Depending on the specific configuration, the MMR rotor can be used for vacuum-assisted sample digestion or dissolution, and acid removal/volume reduction, when connected to an external vacuum supply.

The MMR Rotor is a specially engineered module for accommodating either eight or twelve standard microwave vessels. The individual vessels are isolated, so there is no cross-contamination, and our unique sealings system prohibits leaking.

All rotor materials in contact with samples are made from TFM Teflon or Milestone's WeflonTM. Weflon is a unique, inert, graphite-loaded Teflon that is highly microwave absorbent, which functions to keep the top cover of the rotor warm and minimize condensation.

VAC-1000 Acid Scrubber Module

VAC-1000 Acid Scrubber Module

Milestone's VAC-1000 Acid Scrubber Module is a high-performance system that integrates a vacuum pump, water-cooled condenser and a neutralizing module to completely recover and/or neutralize acid vapors. It is the perfect complement to Milestone's evaporation/concentration rotors for volume reduction and/or acid removal from digestate samples prepared in Milestone's microwave labstations.
