The greatest experiment in the world means nothing unless you can duplicate it exactly. Milestone has developed the most advanced software available to let you monitor and control every possible parameter of a sample run, modify it on the fly, then save it securely for future use.
Program Control
Temperature control with precise ramping is an important advancement in microwave technology. Time-to-Temperature and Time-at-Temperature schemes are an aging technology that may predict microwave temperature ramps, but will not truly control the process.
Milestone
recognizes that true temperature control is the key to safe and easy method
development for new or challenging samples. That's why we developed EasyControl software with continuous temperature feedback for the Ethos labstations. Current technology allows you to digest larger, more difficult samples, more safely and easily than ever before.
Method Development
No need to think about power settings or do tedious method development by guessing power percentages. Just build a temperature profile and press START - the Ethos advanced control continuously adjusts power output automatically. Forget about creating a new method for varying numbers of vessels or sample weights. One method is all you need.
Really exercise control
with method development on-the-fly. Temperature setting too low? Ramping too
quick? Change any or all parameters during the sample run to optimize the
method. Save time and sample with this handy software feature.
Key card access allows control of valuable methods and data. Administration level users can create and modify Ethos methods. Technician level users can retrieve and run programs without being able to accidentally edit or delete previously saved methods.
EasyControl Software
for use with Ethos EZ and Ethos 1 control terminals
EasyControl Software allows the user to simply draw a temperature profile and press "Start." Using sophisticated process control algorithms, the Ethos labstation will precisely follow the profile by continuously modulating the microwave power for precise and repeatable sample digestion (±1°C), with full U.S. EPA methods compliance. Method parameters can be changed "on the fly" during a sample run, even after a vessel has vented, so that a reaction can be brought under control.
Method development can be done in a single reference vessel to save time and resources, as the same method can later be applied to sample runs with any number of reactor vessels.
These features are controlled through an intuitive, color touch-screen controller. It features real-time graphical display of reaction parameters, including the ability to modify a method in the middle of a run. Run a stored method, or open and modify an existing method to create a new one. Once the method is ready, just hit "Start."
