Features

The ASM-400 Magnetic Stirring Module can be built in to the bottom of the microwave cavity. An independently rotated magnet produces consistent stirring of solutions in all vessels, independent of their position within the cavity. Stir bars are available in PTFE, Weflon (Teflon + Graphite), and a specialized Quartz + Weflon version to minimize contamination.

Stirring is an option for digestion applications that is useful for:

• Difficult samples (metals oxides, ceramics, refractories, etc.)
• Oily or sticky samples that can adhere to vessel surfaces
• Samples with particulates that can settle or stick together
